TODAY'S FLOWERS #38

TODAY’S FLOWER’S is a wonderful meme created by Luiz Santilli Jr. and is managed by Luiz, Denise B. Castro and Laerte Pupo. I am also happy to be part of this team. You can find great flowers and also share your own by clicking on the button above. The link opens every Sunday from 7.00 p.m. (GMT)

This week I have a bumper crop of flowers to share from our walk around Meadowlark Gardens. Some are very familiar and those I didn't know I tried to identify if they had a marker. If you want to give me a little help please go right ahead. It will always be very welcome.

Dogwoods above and in the collage below there are Daffodils and we all know them of course (right top and bottom), Dogwoods (middle) the Double European Bird Cherry (top left) and a flower I don't know about (bottom left).

The fountain outside the visitors center was surrounded by the most beautiful Tulips. A marker said their names were Angelique, Blue Spectacle and Yellow Mountain.

Coral Bells (Heuchera Sanguinea)

Variegated Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum Odoratum Variegatum)
Grows up to 30 inches and has green leaves with white margins. It has white flowers in May and blue berries in summer.
I can't identify this one. Below these flowering trees are called Redbud (Cercis Canadensis) Heart of Gold
There was a whole carpet of these pretty flowers but I don't know their names. They are shown in a photo in the first collage above, bottom left photo.
I know the middle one is from the maple tree and the bottom right is a tulip, some kind of fern top right with two lovely little ceramic mushroom ornaments. There were other similar decorations all over the park. The two flowers on the left I couldn't find markers to.
The photo below shows the same flowers that I have on the bush next to our front door. I posted it in last week's Today's Flowers. The information on the marker says it is a Double European Bird Cherry (Prunus Padus CV Plena) - grows up to 45' - deciduous - double white flowers in Spring.

Everywhere is turning green and all the spring flowers were blooming.

Beautiful collage. It is singing spring everywhere. The white flower, could it be spring snowflake?

The Double European Bird Cherry reminds me of a tree hydrangea I planted here (thinking it would do alright like the regular hydrangeas.. doesn't like the humidity much? I love Dogwoods and the purple and pastel flowers below the fountain are gorgeous..Nice variety of shots-

These are truly spectacular photographs. I especially like the one of the fountain surrounded by flowers and the related photos. Those purple ones have petals that look like heavy satin. Just gorgeous.

Fantastic series of photos! Dogwoods are my favorite. They are like "angel trees" adorned with white flowers. I'm loving the combination of Angelique, Blue Spectacle and Yellow Mountain that you also captured. Breathtaking!

Spring has sprung on your blog! My neighbor's have a red bud tree. I'm afraid my photos of their tree don't do it justice; it's such a beauty now.

Is the lovely white one lilies of the valley? My mother used to grow those; they bring back memories.

How nice spring is coming everywhere. What a difference between now and just few weeks ago. Although in Taiwan, we have many beautiful flowers in the Spring, but no way can they be compared to the spring in the milder climates as yours.
