SkyWatch Friday

Another SkyWatch Friday roles around and if you want to share your own photos, or just want to look at incredible sky pictures from all over the world, click on the icon above.

These photos are in Washington DC. The photo above is the same building from a previous post, which is across the street from the American History Museum and all my photos were taken nearby.

In 1967 José de Rivera completed this stainless-steel sculpture which he called "Infinity". It rests atop a tall black granite pedestal in front of the museum, and rotates every six minutes. "Infinity" is 16 feet long, 13.5 feet high and eight feet wide and to look up at it with that beautiful blue sky above and with the sun reflecting off its surface, it is a truly magnificent sight.

Those exquisite details of the building in contrast with your beautiful skies. You have captured the photos that made my jaw drop. Nice series, and very informative. BTW, my lappy is now working and everything has been reinstalled by my daughter. Which means...I'm back in business...blogging. Have a nice weekend, and see you again in cyber space.

I really like the 4th one of that metal sculpture.

When you enlarge it, you can see small reflections of what is going on beneath it.. very cool !
