In this week's post all my flowers are Cherry Blossoms. These are the last of the series of photos we took while in Washington DC for this year's Cherry Blossom Festival.
I am happy we went to the Festival last weekend as the weather has been a little iffy ever since and by now those trees have probably shed all their blooms. Our window of opportunity was short but successful, and this year we were able to get our photos.
In this week's post all my flowers are Cherry Blossoms. These are the last of the series of photos we took while in Washington DC for this year's Cherry Blossom Festival.

Wonderful cherry blossoms. Washington DC is supposedly so splendid at this time of year (better when I've been there, in the summer at the height of the humidity). My favorite is the fourth one down, because of the blue and the branches.
Denise these are stunning!! I'm heading for home next week so I sure hope that my cherry trees are in full bloom! If they are I'll sure post them! A sure sign of an abundance of fruit!!

there is a hauntingly beautiful German film called Kirschblütten (Cherry Blossoms when translated directly) about a stereotypical Bavarian man who finds peace and beauty near the end of his life, with the cherry blossoms playing a powerful metaphoric role in the tale. Seeing cherry blossoms now always reminds me of releasing self-imposed and societal constraints that restrict us and hold us back in fully experiencing the wonder of life...

What a lovely collection of blossoms photos! Every photo is just stunning! One simply remains breathless looking at such beauty.
Well here today it is chilly, gray and wet. No sun in sight. I went out and cut the eggs off the tree in a raincoat, my hands about froze, now as soon as the sun comes out again, will have to lay them in the sun to dry off.
