SkyWatch Friday

My thanks go to the SkyWatch team for bringing this ever popular meme to us weekly. You can find other links by clicking on the icon below.

The skies over the Tidal Basin were just about perfect and they made a great backdrop. In this photograph I was happy to find the moon in the centre of my photograph.

For better viewing you can click on each photo to enlarge.

Someone lost their kite amongst the tree's branches but its owner had long given up trying to get it back.

There was a very happy atmosphere amongst the crowd.

It's been a long time since I have been up to the top of the Washington Monument. We walked by it to get to the Tidal basin.

You can see the windows in this one where people get a great view of the city.

This is a shot of the monument as we were walking back to the Metro Station.
