These are two old photos of Gregg's grandfather, his Dad's Dad. That side of the family originally came from Norway and settled in North Dakota, where many of the family still live.
These are wonderful. I try to imagine what life was like for a Norwegian in the West. I've read Little House on the Prairie and Laura Ingalls Wilder's biography, so I can guess it was tough but exciting.
This is interesting..I should fish some out.. Great post here..yes-a "Norwegian cowboy". I got into the geneology..and those alive now became so difficult that it sort of caused me to re-think that.. maybe they were all a big fat pain! Ha-grins- I have to pick it up again...
Born English but have lived in America for almost 36 years, now proudly a US Citizen but as the old saying goes and as Gregg occasionally tells me, you can take the girl out of England but you can never take England out of the girl.
This is my Mom and Dad, Stanley Douglas Haig Goodall and Joan Goodall, nee Howell. Sorry, this link is for my family, and only family members will be able to click on Dad's picture to view. I have added this link for their easy access.
If any family members pop in and would like to be added to the list, let me know and I will send an invite.
Dad was a member of the Boys' Brigade. This photo was taken around 1928. I am sad to say I don't have any childhood photos of my Mum.
My Mother's parents on their wedding day - early 1900's
Leonard and Elsie May
In memory of my Mother-in-Law Bea, who was a Red Cross Volunteer for many years.

A Norwegion cowboy! It is interesting learning about other's family history.
That's interesting Denise. So in reality you both originated from the same Western Europe area. You were obviously meant to be together.
I love old photos and these are great. Very handsome man.
Interesting photos - the one of him on a horse is most impressive. So fascinating, so many hidden stories.

Isn't it nice looking at old photos? And also to know who the people were in the photos.
