I have been back home for a few days fighting off the sniffles. My cold seems to be back in full force and I don't feel like doing much, but I started going through some old photos and as I have been thinking of my sister Bev a lot today, I wanted to share a picture of us at the airport when she was here a while back. My sister Bev.

Sorry about the cold! never fun! Hope you get better quickly. I always wanted a sister or a brother, growing up an only child is not great as a lot of people think -- or maybe that's just me???

Hope the cold is better soon. Try fresh lemon juice (or the pulp as well) in hot water with a bit of honey.
Theres a lot of water 'tween me and my sisters - hope to cross it again next year.

Hope the sniffles is more of an allergy or sinus and it goes away as quickly as it came.
How wonderful to have a sister to share things with. I had one sister and I have two brothers, they were and are younger then me. My sister died from breast cancer that went into her lungs at 43, she was four years younger then myself. And as silly as this sounds, until her husband remarried two years later, I kept thinking she wasn't gone, but just away and would be home soon. At his wedding it really hit me full force. I would catch myself going to the phone to call her to tell her something that happened or something I had heard that was funny and when I would get to the phone I would remember, I couldn't call her. They say a child's death is the worse death a person can experience. We've been very fortunate, we never lost any babies, and all five of our children are still living. My Mother said it's terrible. Then this past Oct. she lost a Grandson she was very close to, he had not been ill, so the accident was quite a shock to Mom. My parents practically raised him and his sister. Their Father, my youngest brother wasn't around much.
Enjoy your sister, they are a blessing. My sister and I didn't always see eye to eye, but we never had harsh words or had anytime where we were not speaking. I hear of this in some families, and I think it is so sad.
Hope 2009 is the best year ever for you and your family.

I hope you feel better real soon, Denise and I'm glad you're back home safely. Funny how a bunch of us are reminiscing. It must be something about going forward into the new year that makes us look back where we were and to appreciate out blessings.
