Today's Flowers

'Today’s Flowers' was created by Luiz Santilli Jr. and is now managed by Santilli and Denise BC. Thank you very much for all the hard work you put into this delightful meme, for the pleasure of us all. Please click on the icon above to post your own photos if you want to join in, and also see wonderful flowers from all over the world.

A bee of summer past.

A robin on a magnolia pod in Gregg's Dad's back yard, taken some time ago.

The same magnolia tree.

I am not sure what this beautiful flower is. We found it when we were walking along part of the Appalachian Trail along Skyline Drive in the Shenandoahs.

These beautiful blooms I found in my friend Kathy's garden.

I do know what this one is as I took a photo of its name on a stick right next to it. It is the Common Rose Mallow - Hibiscus Moscheutos - "Lord Baltimore" - Maluaceae (Hibiscus Family) I love it when all plants and flowers are posted so clearly. This one I found at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

Does anyone know what this one is? Added note: This is a CLEOME. Yayyyyy, by jove I think she's got it. Thanks Eve!
Mums, oh happy Mums. I do wish you were in my garden instead of at the flower nursery. Next year perhaps.

  12. Cleome! My trick: go to Google images and type what you think it might be. Then you can verify. Only works if you have some ideas of names.

Love the second bee. And the unidentified pink ones.
