SkyWatch Friday

SkyWatch was originally Dot’s idea and is now managed by The Sky Watch Team of Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise.

Sky Watch Friday starts each week on Thursday Evenings at 7.30 p.m. (GMT). If you would like to join in the fun and post your own photos, or just want to look at incredible sky pictures from all over the world, please visit their site by clicking on icon above.

I think these are the last of my Autumn photos, taken at Harper's Ferry in West Virginia a few weeks ago.

This one was taken in the Shenandoah's. The cow was on display at an open market, and the bright sunlight made him glisten.

Still in the Shenandoah's.
My last photo was taken in Norfolk looking towards the cranes at the dock yard.

  8. All great shots. The most beautiful snowfall I ever saw in my life was in Virginia. It is such a gorgeous part of the country. (I lived in Colorado for 36 years so I've seen my share of snow.)

  33. Hi Denise, the autumn trees are so gracious giving pleasure with their golds and reds and browns until all their leaves fall and rest to nourish the tree from where they fell. Great photos Denise.

  36. Great Skywatch photos, Denise! Isn't it funny how we get SOOOO excited about the fall color, and then when it's almost gone, there is such a letdown. On to the browness, and it isn't even winter yet! :-) Thanks for commenting on my Skywatch--when I told my daughter (who lives in AZ) about the snow flurries, she called out to my grandson that we had snow already in Virginia, and he was so excited....it's 70 degrees, of course, there!
