SkyWatch Friday

You can click on each photo to enlarge.
SkyWatch was originally Dot’s idea and is now managed by the Sky Watch Team of Tom, Sandy, IMAC, Klaus, Ivar, Wren and Fishing Guy. Thank you all for making Friday so much fun.

Sky Watch Friday starts each week on Thursday Evenings at 7.30 p.m. (GMT)

If you would like to join in the fun and post your own photos, or just want to look at incredible sky pictures from all over the world, please visit their site by clicking on the icon above.

I am posting early because tomorrow after work Gregg and I will be driving down to Virginia Beach for the weekend. I am hoping that I will have time to add my name on the SkyWatch link tomorrow, but it might have to wait until Sunday evening when we return.

Gregg took all these photos. On Monday after I had already left for work and Gregg came out the front door an hour later, he looked up to see an amazing sight. There was a rainbow right above his head. He had never seen one that high before. The sky was also one of the most interesting ones he had ever seen, so he went back inside and got his camera.

  1. The sky photos are absolutely amazing. How beautiful! And the gazebo photo practically looks fake, almost like a Kincaid painting. Very nice, needs no frame to make it lovely. And thanks for visiting my blog!

  23. A wonderful 'Circum-zenithal Arc', Denise. The cloud formation alone is different but the spectral effect makes this an important record.
