Deer, we have deer!

I didn't expect to see any deer today but these young ones were at the side of the road as we exited the park. It made me nervous to see this little one crossing the road, but cars were going at a reasonable speed and I didn't feel they were in any immediate danger.

That grass near the barrier must have been pretty tasty.

Denise...thanks for looking at my Journal. I have a good friend who moved to Fredricksburg from here, and another who moved here from Sheffield, England, where her father was a police officer. Enjoyed your posts, and I love chicken salad!

So much fun to see any wild life - and you got some great shots of the deer. Yesterday we went to see some Elk (reintroduced to their native area here after being hunted and completely wiped out). It was amazing to see. Unfortunately I don't have a strong enough lens for my camera. Thanks for stopping by my blog - always good to see you. Your chicken salad recipe looks lovely.

Deer and roads...not a good combo for either side!!!

Lori, how interesting and I am glad you enjoyed the recipe. Yes, Lynda's blog is fantastic.

Maria, they certainly were.

JM, I feel blessed to be able to view deer on a regular basis, but we do have to drive just a little bit to see them.

Reluctantfarmchick I am overjoyed every time I see any of our wildlife. It felt good to hear that they were reintroduced into your area, what state is that, was just curious? Brad in Pennsylvania often shows elk photos on his blog. That would be worth a long weekend trip to see elk so close. Always good to see you too and I loved your little chick photos as I do everything else on your blog.

Earthlinggorgeous, I love them and so whenever I get a chance to take their photos you will see them on my blog.

Eve, isn't that the sad truth? Wish it wasn't so.

Thank you all for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments, a real fun part of my day.

It must be pretty cool to see them just roaming around like that.

We live above a thruway and can see the deer on a cliff on the other side.(hmmm...I should take a picture of that!) It looks so dangerous. But not a single one has fallen yet. We have them everywhere, but it always makes me catch my breath to see them.

Thank you again for all the nice things you say and I go to work with a smile on my face. It goes to show that flowers speak to everyone and cross many international barriers.
