This is what we had braved the mosquito infested trail to see, the Assateague Wild Ponies. I wish I had a 1000 mm lens. Do they make those? You would probably have to sell your first born child to buy one and have to hire three people not only to carry it but to help you prop it up. As it was my poor little zoom could only get this far and for now my first born is safe (just kidding Brad - are you rolling your eyes?) Better than nothing I suppose.

Heck no, we're not that organized. Actually I need to buy a pair. Gregg has some but they were from his navy days - almost 30 years old - and they are HUGE! He says we don't have to buy any because we have those. What do you think Eve? I have a feeling your answer would be similar to my own :)))))

Yes you really need a good pair of binoc's. The best you can get for medium price are Eagle Optics. Mine are 10x50 Ranger Platinum Class...not cheap, but there are more expensive brands. I got mine a few years ago and they are like new! I bought mine on line through Eagle Optics. My Daughter (10) has a pair Nikon and are very nice for under $100.00.

Thanks for the info Eve. I will write it down and put it away in my purse for when I want to go birding again.
