Visiting Horne's Restaurant On Our Journey Home

During the heavy traffic holiday season we tend to stay off the freeways and take the pretty country route. It's a longer journey but you drive through very scenic farm country. In Port Royal we have been passing Horne's Restaurant and Gift Shop for years and years and years. Today Gregg turned the car into the parking lot, and today was the day we had lunch at Horne's. A 301 icon at historical cross roads. US 301 and Virginia 17, John Wilkes Booth passed here on his way to his execution a few miles south. You can find out more about the restaurant here.
