King Neptune in Virginia Beach

Along the Boardwalk near The Hilton is the most incredible and awesome 34 foot tall statue of King Neptune. He stands with the sea behind him and Neptune Park in front of him, and was sculpted by Paul DiPasquale who lives in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. DiPasquale accompanied it to China where it was cast in bronze. It is the largest cast bronze statue erected in the United States since the United States Marine Corps (Iwo Jima) Memorial which is located in Arlington, Virginia. The detail on King Neptune is amazing and I look forward to going back to the beach to look at it again and again and again.
